'Dokbakz' visited Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' home in Donghae, Gangwon Province, and displayed a cheerful chemistry.
In episode 34 of Channel S's NiDonNaeSan Dokbak Tour 4, which aired on the afternoon of the 24th, Kim Dae-hee, Kim Jun-Ho, Jang Dong-min, You Se Yoon and Hong In-gyu, who declared a "visit to the in-laws" as this year's first domestic tour, visited Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' home and showed heartwarming scenes as they created a holiday atmosphere with plentiful food.
Earlier during the Malaysia trip, Jang Dong-min suggested, "How about a domestic trip after a long time?" about visiting a new destination. You Se Yoon responded, "Good! Domestic travel was also No. 1 in ratings," and Hong In-gyu suddenly proposed the "visit to the in-laws," saying, "There are rumors that Jun-Ho is very good to his mother-in-law, and I want to check if that's true." Kim Jun-Ho said, "Good," but urged, "But absolutely do not make strange jokes in front of my mother-in-law."
A few days later, 'Dokbakz' headed to Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' home in Donghae, Gangwon Province. In the car, You Se Yoon asked, "Have you ever been to your mother-in-law's house alone?" Kim Jun-Ho confessed, "Once, but it was for a broadcast." Then Hong In-gyu made a surprise revelation, "In the past Jun-Ho once brought me along to his mother-in-law's house to hide a secret relationship (with Kim Ji-min)." Flustered, Kim Jun-Ho laughed and said, "Never mind! When we meet my mother-in-law later, please praise me a lot." In a cheerful atmosphere, 'Dokbakz' stopped by Mukho Port and bought seafood that the mother-in-law likes. Having purchased plenty of clams and whelks, they drove to Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' home, and at that moment Kim Ji-min called. Kim Jun-Ho reported, "I bought a plant your mother likes and a lot of seafood," and Hong In-gyu suddenly asked, "Sister-in-law Ji-min! If we play the Dokbak game with your mother, can we prepare it in advance?" Kim Ji-min replied coolly, "Sounds fun. I hope my mom gets picked. You can bankrupt our house," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Finally arriving at Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' home, 'Dokbakz' set about cooking for the mother-in-law. Jang Dong-min prepared baekgolbaengi soup while trimming ingredients, and Kim Dae-hee, You Se Yoon and Hong In-gyu grilled clams in the yard. Kim Jun-Ho tried to help cook next to the mother-in-law and Jang Dong-min but made repeated mistakes. Meanwhile, impressed by Jang Dong-min's neat knife skills, the mother-in-law praised, "He cooks more beautifully than women." Jealous, Kim Jun-Ho went out to the yard and puffed, "He's hopeless. How dare he ignore me in front of my mother-in-law?" Hong In-gyu advised, "So you should learn to cook too, hyung," and Kim Dae-hee pushed Kim Jun-Ho, saying, "Instead of wasting time, go to the kitchen and at least do the chores." Back in the kitchen, Kim Jun-Ho bravely offered, "I'll at least help prepare the squid," but the mother-in-law made him dizzy by saying, "If you cut it too thick you'll get indigestion. When the meal was ready, 'Dokbakz' sat around a plentiful table and tasted the mother-in-law's galbijjim and spicy pork stir-fry. Kim Jun-Ho gave a thumbs-up, saying, "My mother-in-law's galbijjim could be sold on home shopping right away." Kim Dae-hee, moved, said, "It's art~" and then asked the mother-in-law, "Between the dishes made by Jun-Ho and Dong-min, which do you like better?" Pondering between Kim Jun-Ho's steamed squid and Jang Dong-min's baekgolbaengi soup, the mother-in-law gave a wise answer that made everyone burst out laughing: "Well, aren't people's tastes all the same?" You Se Yoon joked, "For a moment I thought I was watching 'EXchange / Transit Love,' not 'EXchange mother-in-law (?)'," and laughed. In a cheerful atmosphere, 'Dokbakz' asked the mother-in-law, "How did you feel when you heard the news of Kim Jun-Ho and Kim Ji-min's first romance?" The mother-in-law replied, "I was a fan of Kim Jun-Ho, but when I heard they were dating I had many thoughts. The age gap is big," trailing off. Still, she praised him warmly, "Now it's very good. My son-in-law is an event master and treats the people of Donghae very well."
After the meal, the six people, including the mother-in-law, entered a Dokbak game with the purchase price of the seafood at stake. They decided to play the mother-in-law's favorite "picture game" in teams of two, and after a close match, the team of Kim Jun-Ho and the mother-in-law finished last. They had a rematch, and Kim Jun-Ho became the final "dokbakja." Kim Jun-Ho handed over an envelope, saying, "It's okay. I was going to give my mother-in-law pocket money anyway." The mother-in-law cheerfully saw them off and recommended 'Mureungbyeol Yucheonji,' a Donghae attraction, as their next stop. Kim Jun-Ho led 'Dokbakz' to 'Mureungbyeol Yucheonji,' saying, "It's a place I often visited when I was dating Ji-min."
Surrounded by majestic mountains, at 'Mureungbyeol Yucheonji' 'Dokbakz' decided to try an attraction package that included gliders and luges. Immediately after, they played a Dokbak game where Kim Jun-Ho came in last and had to pay but was not allowed to ride the glider, which he actually celebrated. The remaining members experienced extreme thrills on the glider and luge, and then headed to the day one lodging Kim Jun-Ho had booked. The home-like accommodation, with a Donghae sea view, created an emotional atmosphere that satisfied 'Dokbakz.' In the following lodging-cost Dokbak game, based on a pinball racing result, Hong In-gyu became the dokbakja. However, Hong In-gyu produced a "privilege ticket" that exempted him from the dokbak fee, so the remaining members had a rematch and Kim Dae-hee ultimately became the dokbakja.
Welcoming the new year with a 'visit to the in-laws,' 'Dokbakz' next heads to Gunsan, where Jang Dong-min's in-laws live. Their cheerful domestic travel story continues in episode 35 of 'Dokbak Tour 4,' which airs on the 31st at 9 p.m.
