'MZ wannabe icon' IVE Leeze heated up comeback enthusiasm through web variety show activities.
Leeze appeared on 'Cellphone KODE,' which was released on the YouTube channel KODE on the 23rd.
'Cellphone KODE' is a web variety show in which anonymous chats are exchanged across a wall without knowing the other person's information. Leeze, who appeared with excitement that day, introduced herself as "otter," and said she chose the nickname because "I happened to see a video about otters and since then I've fallen for otters," keeping the cheerful atmosphere going.
Afterward, Leeze actively asked questions to get hints and added fun with blunt and honest answers. When asked if she had ever worked part-time, she described her experience filming the YouTube content Workdol and showed unusual wit by giving answers that hid her identity.
Meanwhile, Leeze named sundae gukbap as her soul food, said she eats it often because it's trendy these days, and even revealed a tasty way to eat 'Dubai jjondeuk cookie,' winning over the other person's heart with her food expertise. She also said she enjoys Yoo Byungjae's YouTube content, and introduced the baby 'Lee Jin-ee'—famous on social media—from a recently saved photo, sharing her small tastes and interests and delighting fans.
Also, based on the preceding conversation, she accurately guessed the other person's age and occupation, but when various hints were given she showed a confused look and displayed cuteness, attracting attention with her diverse charms.
After confirming that the conversation partner was actor Lee Joo-been, Leeze, embarrassed, ran behind the set and, while uttering exclamations, showed freshness by avoiding eye contact. While conversing awkwardly, Leeze eased the mood with a witty topic, saying she enjoyed Lee Joo-been's work.
Finally, wrapping up filming while taking a photo with Lee Joo-been, Leeze left her impression: "It was fun to feel this kind of excitement again after a long time, and I'm so honored to meet the beautiful Joobeen."
Meanwhile, IVE, the group Leeze belongs to, will release a pre-release track at 6 p.m. on Feb. 9 and make their first comeback of the new year with a new album in late February.
