On the 25th episode of 'Sadanggwi,' the terrifying first evaluation meeting of KBS's 51st class of new announcers will be revealed. The evaluation meeting is a hellish gateway new announcers must pass, where they are judged on their first news reports in front of illustrious seniors. Because of the tradition of checking their ability to respond to unexpected accidents, even Jun Hyun-moo once shook his head, saying he did not want to remember his own evaluation meeting as a rookie.
Among the new announcers appearing are Lee Sang-chul, considered a mini version of Jun Hyun-moo; Park Hyo-jin, known as Min-ji of NewJeans at Seoul National University; and current affairs rising star Shim Soo-hyun, drawing attention. Watching the new announcers, Jun Hyun-moo said, "I avoided doing the news on purpose because I was afraid that if I did news well, I wouldn't be able to do variety shows," and added, "I was on the news channel for three years originally, so I was worried they might send me to news," revealing his long-held all-in approach to variety shows since his rookie days.
Among them, a video of Lee Sang-chul's first man-on-the-street interview was released, making everyone burst into laughter. Lee Sang-chul engaged in a microphone tug-of-war with a citizen. Having successfully protected the microphone, Lee Sang-chul shrugged toward the camera, which made Jun Hyun-moo laugh out loud.
At Lee Sang-chul's triumphant appearance, Jun Hyun-moo said, "This guy is no ordinary person," and then predicted sharply, "Look at how he doesn't let citizens take the microphone; it's like he's looking at the screen and boasting, 'Mom, do I look good?' " prompting Um Ji-in to say, "This guy said he watched all the announcer episodes of Sadanggwi. So he remembered being told not to let the microphone be taken," confirming Lee Sang-chul's ambition to become like Jun Hyun-moo.
Then Jun Hyun-moo said, "So he was looking at the screen to watch 'Sadanggwi,'" and when Jun Hyun-moo's surprising behavior drew a meaningful smile, Kim Sook, who was watching, said, "The seniors are terrifying," and clicked her tongue.
Whether the extraordinary "Jun Hyun-moo hopeful" Lee Sang-chul and Jun Hyun-moo will meet, and whether Lee Sang-chul will pass the evaluation meeting safely, will be revealed in the main broadcast of 'Sadanggwi.'
