2026 global K-pop super rookie boy group ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1) swept two music show trophies.
ALPHA DRIVE ONE (Rio, Junseo, Arno, Geonwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anshin, Sanghyun) grabbed the number-one trophy on KBS2 MUSIC BANK on the afternoon of the 23rd with the title track FREAK ALARM from their mini 1st and debut album EUPHORIA.
Upon taking the top spot, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, unable to hide their moving expressions as if they could not believe they had won, delivered heartfelt acceptance remarks. ALPHA DRIVE ONE said they were sincerely grateful to receive the glorious award of first place and thanked the many people who helped them achieve it, adding they would become great artists to repay that support and expressed gratitude to fans around the world.
At the same time, ALPHA DRIVE ONE topped both the weekly retail album chart and the download chart with their mini 1st and debut album EUPHORIA on the latest weekly chart released by the album sales tally site Circle Chart (tracking period: Jan. 11–17), earning them two crowns.
EUPHORIA also ranked No. 2 on the album chart, while on the download chart the title track FREAK ALARM took first place and every track on the album charted, demonstrating the strength to prove the reputation of a "super rookie" in K-pop.
Earlier, ALPHA DRIVE ONE surpassed 1.44 million copies in first-week sales (one week from the release date) with EUPHORIA, setting the record for the second-highest first-week sales for a K-pop group's debut album. In addition, the album reached No. 1 on QQ Music's daily digital album chart in China, showing powerful influence in the global market.
ALPHA DRIVE ONE announced the arrival of a "monster rookie" by lifting first-place trophies on MBC M and MBC every1's Show! Champion and on KBS2 MUSIC BANK. Having written astonishing records on various charts upon debut, expectations are rising for what further records ALPHA DRIVE ONE will add.
Meanwhile, having begun their run by winning two music show trophies immediately after debut, ALPHA DRIVE ONE plans to continue active debut promotions including music shows.
