The group i-dle is returning with a new song that captures their essence to mark their 8th anniversary.
i-dle (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) will release the digital single Mono (Feat. skaiwater) on the 27th. i-dle, who have left a musical imprint with their distinctive concepts, including last year's mini album No. 8 We are and its title track Good Thing, will make a dramatic transformation in the new song.
The new release Mono (Feat. skaiwater), the first in eight months in Korea, is a song inspired by the method of playing sound through a single audio channel called "mono." i-dle removed some of the extravagance from their recent music and concepts and focused on essence.
Ahead of the release, i-dle previewed a new musical spectrum with a video that revealed the striking lyric "Play the whole world in Mono." In a restrained monotone atmosphere, they each revealed their individuality by adding points such as trendy beats, lip piercing, blonde and two-tone hair. In concept photos, they broke down boundaries and captured scenes of mingling with various people in successive movements, visualizing a waveform and raising curiosity about what message they will convey under the theme "Mono."
Also, i-dle unusually collaborated with an outside artist on this new song. British rapper skaiwater, who participated in the featuring, has been noted as a rising rapper in the hip-hop scene by breaking existing molds and presenting addictive music. As this is the first time another artist has featured on an i-dle song, fans' expectations for the meeting between i-dle and skaiwater across borders are growing by the day.
Opening 2026 in spectacular fashion with new music, i-dle plans to once again continue their reputation as a powerhouse on the charts with this comeback. i-dle's new digital single Mono (Feat. skaiwater) will be released at 6 p.m. on the 27th on various music platforms.
