BTS world tour's opening Goyang shows sold out perfectly.
BTS will hold "BTS WORLD TOUR "ARIRANG" IN GOYANG" for three days on Apr. 9, 11 and 12 at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex. Fan club presale held on the 22nd sold out all seats for all three shows. Performances in Tampa and Stanford, U.S., have added one extra show each due to explosive demand in both areas. In particular, holding a solo concert at Stanford Stadium makes BTS the second act to do so after Coldplay.
"BTS WORLD TOUR "ARIRANG"" will open in Goyang and continue at Tokyo Dome on Apr. 17-18. It will then visit North America, Europe, South America and Asia. The tour will take place in 34 cities for a total of 81 shows, the most concerts in K-pop tour history.
Global interest in BTS can be seen everywhere. On the 19th, Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum welcomed the concert, saying, "We welcome that this concert has been realized. It is a historic moment." BTS's Mexico performances will be held on May 7, 9 and 10 at Estadio GNP Seguros. Major overseas media also paid close attention. Forbes wrote that it is "a scale that sets a new standard in the touring history of Korean artists," and USA Today reported that "it is expected to make history again through this concert."
Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth studio album "ARIRANG" on Mar. 20. It contains 14 tracks and deals with universal emotions such as the group's identity, longing and deep love. It is expected to present sincere music that captures "BTS of today".
