Studio Dragon-produced drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty ranked third globally by viewing hours among all series content on Netflix in the second half of 2025.
According to Netflix's second-half 2025 viewing report released on the 21st (What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report), Bon Appétit, Your Majesty recorded 583 million viewing hours during the period. This figure, following the global fandom hits Wednesday season 2 (1st/964.1 million hours) and Stranger Things season 5 (2nd/879.7 million hours), is a top-tier performance that suggests the global craze for Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, which was released last August on tvN, TVING and Netflix, is a romantic comedy drama about a chef who time slips to the past at the height of their career and meets the worst tyrant and a ruler with absolute taste. Combining time-slip fantasy with romance and traditional Korean cuisine in a unique narrative, it captivated domestic and international viewers, surpassing 100 million cumulative viewing hours on Netflix within three weeks of airing, and its finale recorded a peak viewership of 20% on tvN, making it 2025's most talked-about work.
Studio Dragon, which supplies works through various domestic and international platforms, has proven its production competitiveness by consistently producing K-drama mega-hits each year in addition to Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. When Netflix's half-year viewing report was first released in the first half of 2023, the Netflix series The Glory recorded the third highest viewing hours (622.8 million hours), sparking a global phenomenon, and in the first half of 2024 Queen of Tears also ranked third in viewing hours (682.6 million hours), demonstrating the essence of K-romance.
A Studio Dragon official said, "This year, OTT original series Yumi's Cells season 3 and The Cooking Soldier Will Become a Legend will be released globally through TVING, Chamgyoyuk, Notes from the Last Row and Slowly and Intensely will be released through Netflix, and Goldland will be released through Disney Plus," noting, "We plan to continue strengthening our position as a premier K-drama producer by creating well-made content."
