Actor Kim Nan-hee, who has showcased distinctive character portrayals in each work with solid acting skills, has joined the MBC Friday-Saturday drama The Judge Returns.
Her agency, Soonient, said, "Actor Kim Nan-hee has been cast as Kang Ji-yeok in the MBC Friday-Saturday drama The Judge Returns (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, Chang Jae-hoon / written by Kim Kwang-min / directed by Lee Jae-jin, Park Mi-yeon / produced by OH Story, Slingshot Studio) and is active in the role."
The drama The Judge Returns is a justice-implementing return drama in which Lee Han-young (played by Jisung), a corrupt judge who lived as a slave to a giant law firm, returns to 10 years earlier and punishes great evils through new choices.
Kim Nan-hee will play Kang Ji-yeong, the wife of Heo Dong-gi (played by Shin Hyun-jong), who is a victim of the sinkhole incident and fights desperately to clear her son's name, and is expected to deliver a densely layered performance.
In the previous broadcast, she perfectly conveyed the complex and varied emotions of a wife who, beyond being a mere victim's family member, quietly watches her husband's dangerous actions and tries to protect the family.
Meanwhile, Kim Nan-hee recently won great love from viewers for her realistic acting and humane presence by playing Yang Mal-sook in the recently concluded drama The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun.
Also, having proven a wide spectrum across genres such as Goblin, The Bond of the Sky and Lover, attention is focused on her transformation in The Judge Returns.
