TWS (TWS) proved itself a "challenge hit maker" by generating explosive reactions on TikTok.
On the 23rd, according to global short-form video platform TikTok, short-form videos using TWS (Shin Yu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin)'s mini 4th album play hard title track "OVERDRIVE" surpassed 1.1 million views as of the previous day. Compared with about 200,000 a month earlier (on Dec. 22, 2025), the figure has surged more than fivefold. It is one of the standout achievements among all K-pop boy groups.
Cumulative views of TikTok posts featuring "OVERDRIVE" reach 2.5 billion (as of Jan. 20). Riding this buzz, the song has remained at the top ranks of the platform's music charts in Korea, the "Top 50" and the "Viral 50."
The core performance of "OVERDRIVE," the "angtal challenge," swept the popular culture scene this winter and established itself as a mainstream piece of content. TWS's proven ability to hit the public's tastes with each challenge, such as "first meetings don't go as planned" and "if I'm S, you become my N," was once again demonstrated through "OVERDRIVE."
In fact, the challenge was featured at major award ceremonies, confirming its popular appeal, including the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA 2025), MBC's Entertainment Awards, and the 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit. The easy, intuitive choreography—shaking the shoulders playfully to the chorus—drew relay participation from top stars and heightened the festive atmosphere.
The song's chart rebound momentum is also fierce. After official promotions ended last December, the song reentered Melon's daily and weekly charts and steadily climbed the rankings. It recently sits at No. 28 on the daily chart (Jan. 20) and No. 32 on the weekly chart (tracking period Jan. 12–Jan. 18), setting new personal records. It is also showing steep rises on Genie Music, Bugs, and Flo.
Meanwhile, TWS will open the glamorous curtain on its Greater China tour tomorrow (the 24th) with "TWS TOUR '24/7:WITH:US' IN MACAU & KAOHSIUNG" at the Macau Studio City Event Center.
