On the 23rd, SBS's "Same Bed, Different Dreams - You Are My Destiny" said, "Considering the recent controversy, we have decided to reedit the VCR content featuring Chef Im Seong-keun appearing with comedian Hong Yun-hwa in the broadcast on the 26th."
SBS said, "The production team will try to delete as much of Chef Im Seong-keun's footage as possible without causing harm or inconvenience to the episode's star Hong Yun-hwa and viewers who cherish 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2,' so that they can focus on Hong Yun-hwa's sincere story."
Meanwhile, Chef Im Seong-keun said on his YouTube channel on the 18th, "I like drinking and made mistakes," and admitted to driving under the influence three times. Im was fined 2 million won and 3 million won respectively for drunk driving in 2009 and 2017. In 2020, he drove in Gari-bong-dong, Guro District, Seoul with a blood alcohol level of 0.14% and was sentenced to one year in prison with a two-year suspension, ordered to perform 80 hours of community service and 40 hours of safe-driving lectures.
However, when it became known that he had been fined 5 million won on Sept. 21, 1999, for drunk driving, the controversy grew, and ultimately Chef Im Seong-keun decided to suspend his broadcasting activities.
