Artist Rosé has been nominated for the Brit Awards.
In the list of nominees for International Song of the Year released by the British Phonographic Industry at the 46th Brit Awards (The BRIT Awards 2026, hereafter "the Brit Awards"), Rosé appears with the duet with Bruno Mars, "APT." (아파트).
The Brit Awards, which began in 1977, is a prestigious British awards ceremony that has selected nominees through panel votes of more than 1,000 people, including radio and TV DJs and hosts, broadcasting executives, record company heads and journalists. Rosé added another milestone as the first and only K-pop artist to be nominated for the Brit Awards both as part of a group and as a solo artist.
Rosé set records on global music charts with the duet with Bruno Mars, "APT.", which she released in October last year. She also won the top prize, song of the year, at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, one of the four major U.S. popular music awards, the first K-pop artist to do so, and she earned the honor of being the first K-pop artist nominated for the major categories of song of the year and record of the year at the Grammy Awards, the most prestigious institution in U.S. popular music.
Rosé's first full-length album, rosie (로지), released in December of the same year, also caused an immediate strong reaction. rosie, notable for Rosé's participation in writing and composing all the tracks, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 3 immediately after its release and then ranked on the Billboard 200 for 27 consecutive weeks, breaking records as the highest and longest-running K-pop female artist. Rosé not only put her honest personal stories into self-written songs, but also expanded her musical spectrum by including songs of various genres on her first full-length album.
Having raised the nation's prestige by lifting trophies at global award shows, attention among K-pop fans is focused on whether Rosé can win at the Brit Awards, which will be held on Feb. 28 (local time).
