Kkokkomu will for the first time release an interview with civilian secret informant K, Kang Shin-gu, the real-life person who inspired Ha Jung-woo's role in the drama Narco-Saints.
On the 22nd, Tails of Tales (directed by Lee Keun-byeol, Lee Dong-won, Kim Byung-gil 'hereinafter 'Kkokkomu') will air special: Target K part 2, 'Catch the Narco-Saints drug lord' episode.
The broadcast sheds light on Jo Bong-haeng, the 'drug lord of Suriname,' who served as a common motive in the drama Narco-Saints and the film The Way Home. For this special broadcast, Kkokkomu conducted the longest overseas reporting, traveling between Suriname in South America and Miami in the United States over four months; it conducted the first interviews with former and current National Intelligence Service (NIS) agents and the real-life civilian agent K from the drama Narco-Saints; and it succeeded in reporting with U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigators and domestic and international drug investigation specialists, boasting a blockbuster-scale production.
In particular, Kang Shin-gu, the real person who inspired Ha Jung-woo's role in the drama Narco-Saints, agreed to be interviewed for the first time and vividly testifies about why he risked his life as a secret informant at the time and about Jo Bong-haeng's current situation. Kang Shin-gu said he agreed to the interview because he usually enjoyed watching Kkokkomu, and he confessed, "At the time, not knowing when my identity would be exposed, whenever I parked my car I always faced it toward the U.S. embassy," amplifying interest by sharing his real name and behind-the-scenes stories never before revealed. Along with this, the real-life NIS secret agent who partnered with Kang Shin-gu in capturing the drug lord Jo Bong-haeng of Suriname and an interview with a U.S. DEA agent will be revealed, presenting a tense, real story from that time.
As listeners, Kkokkomu's first-time guest 'Kkorini' (Kkokkomu child) actress Lee Sun-bin, original Kkokkomu fan actress Won Jin-a, and artist Jung Seung-won appear, showing unprecedented immersion. When the first story was revealed, Lee Sun-bin reacted, "Wow, amazing, goosebumps," saying, "It was the story of Jo Bong-haeng of Narco-Saints," delivering standout reactions, according to reports.
