Unveiled on Jan. 15, Mnet 'Show Me the Money 12' has been generating buzz since its first broadcast. 'Show Me the Money 12' announced a smooth start by ranking first in the TV sector buzz rankings for the third week of January released by Good Data Corporation FUNdex on Jan. 20. Not only did it record the highest real-time viewing UV (unique visitors) on TVing from the first broadcast, but the combined SNS (YouTube·TikTok·Instagram) cumulative views also surpassed 230 million, proving intense interest.
Tonight (Thu., Jan. 22) at 9:20 p.m., episode 2 is expected to further heat up the momentum. Along with the full-scale global preliminaries, the second-round '60-second inferno' judging, considered a signature of 'Show Me the Money,' has been announced. With last week's first-round preliminaries released and drawing attention, the global preliminaries promise surprises with unexpected star appearances, raising expectations.
Dancers and rappers representing 32 regions around the world will gather for the first-round a cappella rap evaluations, including Minami, a dancer from the winning crew of 'World of Street Woman Fighter'; JB, a legend of Hong Kong hip-hop; RedEye, a rising star in the Japanese hip-hop scene; and active named rapper Flowsik. The judging outcome of Thai superstar Milli, who drew attention just by appearing, also adds to the curiosity. The second-round '60-second inferno' judging, where rappers' fates are decided in only 60 seconds, is Show Me the Money's signature mission and raises expectations as all four producer teams will judge together for the first time.
