tvN variety show 'Cha's' Choo Sung Hoon vented his complaints during his journey to find spiciness.
On the 22nd, the first episode of the tvN variety show 'Cha's' depicted the life stories of Cha Seung-won and Choo Sung Hoon, who set out on an expedition to establish their own spicy flavors around the world. As Cha Seung-won embarked on inventing a doenjang jjigae using Thai sauce, Choo Sung Hoon met a local entrepreneur who runs a food business to develop his own spicy flavor.
Choo Sung Hoon said, "Pineapple sauce has a color and taste that Korea doesn't have," and "I want it to suit people in their 20s and 30s in the MZ generation, with fruit adding sweetness, being sweet yet spicy, and feeling like a dipping sauce."
Choo Sung Hoon said, "This tastes like pineapple but I want it spicier," and "Actually, I want it to be this level of spiciness. I want it to be for dipping or sprinkling," as he described the specific taste. While developing the flavor, Choo Sung Hoon said, "It's been 15 years with Cha Seung-won, but the flavors we pursue are different," and complained, "He's good too, but I want to do it my way," bringing laughter.
