Actress Han Guru showcased chameleon-like charms on "Hwang Shin Hye's Let's Live Together," offering cooking, stretching and dance lessons.
On the 21st, actress Han Guru appeared as the first guest on KBS 1TV variety program "Hwang Shin Hye's Let's Live Together."
Han Guru, who greeted Hwang Shin Hye, Jang Yoon Jeong and Jung Ga Eun warmly, revealed her connection with Hwang Shin Hye. When Hwang Shin Hye said she had seen Han Guru before, Han Guru recalled, "I saw her not long after I had the baby. I happened to go out to eat with a friend, and the senior was dining with her daughter. So I went over and greeted her. 'Senior, I'm Han Guru; I hope we can meet on a show someday. I'm a fan.' I greeted her and left, and after we ate she paid the bill and left," recalling the moment.
Han Guru, wanting to express her gratitude, said she wanted to personally serve food, and she showed her cooking skills by preparing heartfelt dishes with the ingredients she had bought herself, revealing her prowess as a skilled cook.
On the show, Han Guru candidly shared her daily life and inner thoughts as a single mom. She said she married at 24 and gave birth to twins at 26, then paused her activities to focus on childcare. She calmly recounted how she raised her children alone after her divorce seven years into the marriage.
She said she did not separately get the children ready to go out in the morning. When the alarm rings, each gets up to brush their teeth and wash their face, picks out their own clothes and dresses themselves, and she said she has raised them from age 6 to develop independence naturally, attracting attention for her parenting philosophy.
The four formed a deep bond as they shared realistic worries and emotions experienced as a single mom, from why they had to be stricter with the children to the moment they told their parents about the divorce.
Known as a self-proclaimed "exercise enthusiast," Han Guru revealed her secrets to staying healthy through various workouts such as flying yoga, swimming and weight training. She also said she is currently preparing for a pilates instructor certification to prepare for the future, and on the show she provided hands-on guidance to Hwang Shin Hye, Jang Yoon Jeong and Jung Ga Eun, displaying skills comparable to a professional and drawing admiration.
Han Guru proposed making a "one-of-a-kind picture book for me and my child" to Hwang Shin Hye, Jang Yoon Jeong and Jung Ga Eun. She said she thought it would be good to reflect on their lives through the process of making a picture book and put into words and pictures the stories she most wanted to tell her child. The four completed meaningful picture books filled with their experiences and sincerity, creating another shared memory.
Meanwhile, Han Guru will appear in the web variety show "Life Up season 2," scheduled to be released on Feb. 20.
