Actor Park Eunbin sent a message of support to Cha Eunwoo, who is serving in the military.
On the morning of the 21st at the Grand Ballroom on the third floor of Conrad Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, 'Next on Netflix 2026 Korea' took place. Present were Kang Dong-han, Netflix Korea content head and vice president; Bae Jong-byeong, senior director of the series institutional sector; Kim Tae-won, film institutional sector director; Yu Ki-hwan, variety institutional sector director; and actors Jeon Do-yeon, Son Ye-jin, Park Eunbin, Nam Joo-hyuk, chef Anh Sung-jae, among others.
As Netflix marked its 10th anniversary of service in Korea, heads and directors discussed the past 10 years and future vision, and those appearing in person included Jeon Do-yeon in Possible Love, Nam Joo-hyuk in Donggung, Son Ye-jin in Scandal, Park Eunbin in Wonderfuls, and Anh Sung-jae in Culinary Class Wars, which are scheduled for release this year.
Park Eunbin and Cha Eunwoo co-starred in Wonderfuls, scheduled to be released in the second quarter. Set in 1999, when apocalyptic beliefs were on the rise, it is a superpowered comic action-adventure about a group of bungling neighborhood residents who gain supernatural powers from an unexpected incident and fight villains threatening the peace of Haesung City. Directed by Yoo In-sik of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and written by Heo Da-jung, who adapted Extreme Job, the project has raised expectations.
Park Eunbin said, "Through the character, I think I will show a messy side. I will show a very immature, lively side," and added, "I am confident there will be predictable fun that comes from the unpredictable. The character is basically cute and lovable, so I ask for a lot of love. And please be curious about which superpower I will use."
She continued, "This is my second project with director Yoo In-sik since 'Woo Young-woo.' We started from a place of knowing each other very well, and it was a project we set out to do with determination. The chemistry was good without question, and we filmed in a more fun and enjoyable setting. The chemistry with the actors was also good. Physically it was hard to realize the superpowers, but I feel light-hearted because I think we can present an entertaining work. Please look forward to the teamwork," she said with a smile.
Cha Eunwoo is currently serving in the military and therefore cannot participate in promotional activities, but Park Eunbin said, "I had ties with other actors, but this was my first time working with Cha Eunwoo. I put my best into this work to the point that I felt there could be no better actor for this character, and he went to fulfill his duty to the defense," she said.
She also encouraged Cha Eunwoo, saying, "I think he is living well wherever he is. It would have been nice if we could have promoted together, but I will work hard on his behalf, so I hope he completes his military service well and returns triumphantly. Eunwoo, fighting!"
