YG Entertainment is accelerating efforts to secure a talent pool for rookie groups to follow Blackpink, TREASURE, and BABYMONSTER through a 'special audition.'
YG Entertainment announced that it will hold the '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT' from today (21) through Feb. 28. In particular, this audition is noteworthy for being planned so that Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer, participates in the entire judging process.
As the subtitle 'GO! DEBUT' suggests, the aim goes beyond simply discovering trainees to finding talent that will open the future of the global K-pop market. Given YG's track record of producing artists who have been active in the global market, including Big Bang, 2NE1, Blackpink, Winner, iKON, TREASURE, and BABYMONSTER, a strong response is expected for this audition as well.
Applications are open through Feb. 28 via the YG audition website or the QR code on the poster. Regardless of gender or nationality, anyone born from 2007 through 2015 can apply. Applicants should choose one area they are confident in—singing, rapping, dancing, visual, or talent—and capture their potential in a video within one minute.
