A popup steeped in the group's ENHYPEN signature dark vampire sensibility opened today (21).
HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc. said ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) will hold a popup commemorating the release of their mini album 7 'THE SIN : VANISH' from today through the 27th for one week at a special event space on basement level 1 of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam in Seocho District, Seoul.
This popup takes as its theme the escape of the vampire lovers central to the 'THE SIN : VANISH' narrative and recreates the dark, weighty mood that runs through the album in a real space. The bleak visuals of ENHYPEN in the 'FORBIDDEN' version stills, set against the hiding place of a cave, create an aura that overwhelms the venue.
The space design also stands out. Wanted posters seeking those who caused an unprecedented incident are posted on the walls, and evidence markers from the scene are used on display shelves to enhance the sense of being there. The detailed composition that visualizes the album's concept raises visitors' immersion.
There are plenty of activities for visitors. The 'secret message zone' (SECRET MESSAGE ZONE), where fans can hear ENHYPEN's voices directly; the 'chaser zone' (THE CHASER ZONE), which uses a special device to find ENHYPEN's messages hidden in the wall; and the 'message zone' (MESSAGE ZONE), where ENGENE, the fandom, can leave messages of support for the members, offer ENGENE a unique experience.
Fans' reactions were intense from the first day. Even before opening, a long line of fans waiting to enter, known as the 'open run' phenomenon, formed in front of the popup, demonstrating ENHYPEN's popularity. Visitors enjoyed the popup in various ways, taking commemorative photos throughout the store and participating in events.
The popup will continue to four Asian cities starting with Seoul: Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo.
ENHYPEN released their mini album 7 'THE SIN : VANISH' on the 16th and are actively promoting it. The title track 'Knife' is a hip-hop song that expresses the confidence to stand up and confront any threat. With a catchy melody, members' powerful vocal energy and sharp choreography, it delivers an exhilarating thrill and is gaining popularity.
