Radio Star' Yeom Kyung-hwan clarified fake news.
On the 21st broadcast of MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' (hereinafter 'Ras'), which was presented as the '2026 words: As you say it!' special, Lee Keum-hee, Yeom Kyung-hwan, Koo Hye-sun and Jeon Min-gi appeared.
That day Yeom Kyung-hwan mentioned and clarified fake news about himself. There were items such as 'earns 30 billion won a year', 'rumor of 2 trillion won in assets', and 'sprays 10 million won a day on alcohol expenses'.
Kim Gu Ra, who had been listening quietly, said, "Kyung-hwan called and went out, and they split it by n," and added, "Even Dong-hyun asks, 'Why doesn't that man spend money?'" and said, "That makes no sense," offering a rebuttal.
Jang Do-youn asked, "If you are at that level in home shopping, you sometimes achieve 1 billion won in sales, so don't you make incentive contracts or something?" Yeom Kyung-hwan said, "There are many times when I sell more than 1 billion won in 60 minutes, so I think I would get a lot, but I receive the same appearance fee."
He went on, "I don't earn as much as the sales amount. Even if five items sell out, I get the same. When they try to raise appearance fees a little, they say the economy is bad and an employee has to quit. I haven't been able to raise it a single penny in 10 years," he said.
At that time Jeon Min-gi said, "I know roughly how much home shopping appearance fees are," and wondered how many he does. When Yeom Kyung-hwan said, "I do about 100 home shopping appearances a month. It amounts to more than 1,500 a year," he guessed, "Then you might earn about 10 billion won."
Kim Gu Ra said, "No. You don't get as much appearance fee as you think," but Jeon Min-gi said, "Then it seems it would be at least 5 billion to 10 billion won." In response, Yeom Kyung-hwan emphatically said, "No. It's the lowest in the entertainment industry."
Then Kim Gu Ra revealed, "He has six cars," and added, "Two company cars, father-in-law, mother-in-law, wife, and his own sports car. He doesn't spend on others but spends well on himself," bringing laughter.
