EXO member Suho participated in the I'm SOLO OST.
Cable channels ENA and SBS Plus's flagship dating variety show I'm SOLO will release an official OST to mark its 5th anniversary. Starting at noon on Thursday the 29th, one song will be released each week in sequence, and the themes of each track are composed of I'm SOLO's symbols: solitary seatings, final choices, contestant entrance songs, and more. Also, with a main lineup including EXO's Suho, artists best suited to I'm SOLO are participating, raising expectations.
Since its first broadcast in 2021, I'm SOLO has received explosive love and established itself as Korea's representative real dating narrative content, and recently it recorded the unusual achievement of producing 'married couples' in consecutive 28th and 29th seasons, once again proving the program's authenticity and realism. It is now evaluated not only as a variety show that provides laughter and thrills but also as a dating drama and life documentary that captures a person's emotions, choices and important moments of life.
Although each season presents completely different people and stories, viewers and participants have followed the emotional arc—from the awkwardness of the first meeting, changes of feeling, brave confessions and the results of choices—becoming deeply immersed as if watching a drama. In that flow, releasing an OST is a natural expansion. Music is the emotional medium that makes the dating moments created by I'm SOLO even more vividly remembered.
This I'm SOLO OST is centered on the program's memorable scenes and emotional climaxes. It captures in music the trembling before a confession, the regret of mismatched feelings, the lingering after a choice, and other moments that resonated most strongly with viewers. Especially with narratives of couples who actually married added, the I'm SOLO OST is expected to add meaning as a record of real-life dating and an archive of emotion, beyond simple background music.
The I'm SOLO production team said, "Now in its 5th anniversary, I'm SOLO is expanding beyond a program into a brand and intellectual property. Releasing an OST is the starting point, an attempt to expand the dating stories accumulated through broadcasting into another content form—music. It is also a symbolic project showing that I'm SOLO has established itself as a genre beyond variety shows."
They added, "The themes of the OST tracks are also structured around I'm SOLO's characteristic moments—solitary seatings, final choices, contestant entrance songs—providing viewers with an even more intense sense of immersion."
With the OST featuring Suho drawing attention once again, I'm SOLO airs every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
