News about Seungri, a former member of the group Big Bang, has been revealed and is drawing attention.
On the 19th, a video titled "Hwang Hana, Seungri, Park Yuchun: reporter Oh Hyokjin's special investigative file revealed" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Jiritjirit'.
Seungri, who was identified as a key figure in the 2019 Burning Sun gate, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison on nine charges including habitual gambling, prostitution, arranging prostitution, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement in the course of business, violation of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and suspicion of instigating special assault, and was released on completion of his sentence in February 2023.
After being expelled from Korea's entertainment industry, Seungri reinvented himself as a businessman and mostly worked abroad, though he was occasionally spotted in Korea. He was photographed eating with a woman at a bone soup restaurant in Songpa-gu, Seoul, drawing attention, and he was also prominently reported to have appeared at a nightclub in Hangzhou, China.
Recently, a photo of Seungri with a businessman was also released. Compared with his group activity days, Seungri had gained so much weight that his jawline had disappeared and his stomach protruded, shocking people.
It was also reported that Seungri visited the club pub "Prince Brewing", which is known to have been operated by the China-linked Cambodian company Prince Enterprises (Prince Holdings), identified as being behind crimes in Cambodia.
Amid this, Seungri's current situation was revealed. On 'Jiritjirit', reporter Oh Hyokjin claimed, "He parties with executives of the Cambodian crime complex."
Oh said, "There are reports that he socializes with money launderers and with people who do voice phishing and mostly with people involved in casinos, and that he parties with executives of the Cambodian crime complex."
He added, "In Southeast Asia, he still has the image of being from Big Bang. Because of that, he reportedly tried to prepare illegal businesses, and as far as I know, he now mainly moves back and forth to Thailand."
