Bae Hyeon-seong, who received warm love from viewers last year through the drama "Shin's Project" (hereafter "Shin's Project"), is poised for active work this year including director Yeon Sang-ho's new film "Silnakwon" and the drama "Daeri Sunung." This photoshoot with Bae Hyeon-seong focused on capturing his look of excitement and wistfulness with the theme "first love." An interview took place after the photoshoot. First he said, "This year I spent the end and start of the year quietly in Seoul. He also said, "Right now I think I'm more interested in the new colors a character can have. If I play a different kind of character than before, I can show viewers something new, and I think I could enjoy acting more too," talking about the aspect he is focusing on as an actor.
Now eight years into his career, he said, "I can clearly say why I have been able to act until now without major difficulties, to the point where each year seems to pass quickly. It's because acting is fun. I think it's a real blessing to be able to do what you want to do and enjoy doing it. When a work comes out, not only fans but viewers and family are so happy. It feels good and makes me happy to receive support and love," expressing his unchanged affection for acting and gratitude toward his fans.
Bae Hyeon-seong, who is in the midst of filming the drama "Daeri Sunung," also spoke about growing by observing and learning on set. He said, "First of all, 'Daeri Sunung' is a school-centered drama, so there are a lot of actors performing together. Among them, I mostly work closely with Cha Kang Yoon and Park Yoon-Ho, so I spend a lot of time with them, and somehow I ended up being the oldest. Until now I was usually the youngest on set, and most people I am close to in daily life are older brothers. It's still awkward, but we're building it well together with the younger actors.
