Chef Jung Ho-young, who graduated from Japan's Tsuji Culinary Institute, one of the world's three major culinary schools, revealed that he and Choi Kang-rok were alumni. During his time as an international student, Chef Jung Ho-young worked unpaid for three years at a fish shop that supplied fish to Michelin restaurants and learned how to prepare fish, and before leaving Japan he handed his position at the fish shop to junior Choi Kang-rok, who had shown interest in the shop, recalling the close bond they shared while studying in Japan.

Chef Jung Ho-young, who faced off against "Seoul Mother," a black-spoon chef, in a monkfish cooking battle, said, "After being eliminated from the match I thought about breaking the monkfish stand," sharing his honest feelings. It was later revealed that the monkfish stand Chef Jung Ho-young had specially made for the match took three days to produce and cost 1,000,000 won, surprising everyone.
After being eliminated in the 1-on-1 match and entering the third-round team match of Culinary Class Wars 2 via a super pass, Chef Jung Ho-young said he later deeply regretted having been the one to actively propose ideas at the time. He recalled the dizzying team match situation, saying, "Without realizing it I was offering ideas and leading the team members." He entered cooking with unprecedented tension, thinking his idea could sway the fate of the entire team. The vivid Culinary Class Wars 2 behind-the-scenes that Chef Jung Ho-young shares can be seen in more detail on the broadcast.
Meanwhile, Chef Kwon Seong-jun and Chef Jung Ho-young candidly share their feelings about judge Anh Sung-jae's evaluations on Culinary Class Wars. Recently judged by Anh Sung-jae, Chef Jung Ho-young said, "During the monkfish judging I was worried the monkfish meat was dry, and I was surprised he picked up on that exactly," expressing amazement at Anh Sung-jae's precise critique. Meanwhile, Chef Kwon Seong-jun left a brief comment on Anh Sung-jae's evaluation, drawing the envy of Chef Jung Ho-young. What words did Culinary Class Wars' first winner Chef Kwon Seong-jun leave?
