Crossover group La Poem (LA POEM) returns to the music scene with new music after 1 year and 9 months.
La Poem will release their third mini album Alive at 6 p.m. on the 20th through various music sites, announcing a glamorous return to the music scene.
Alive is an album that contains the choice and determination to not stop amid change and to make this moment a "time that proves being alive." From that determination, it depicts the narrative from the moment of running beyond rules to the promise finally reached together with someone.
The title track Meant to Be is a song that expresses in delicate language the heart that faces the great trials and misfortunes encountered in life head-on rather than avoiding them. In particular, leading lyricist Kim Eana wrote the lyrics, and Lucky Clover, who has worked on many popular drama OSTs including King the Land and Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, participated in composing, raising the song's completeness.
In addition, the album includes a total of five diverse songs showcasing the essence of crossover: the title track "Alive," which contains intense energy to prove being alive in this uncertain moment; the Spanish song "Este amor," which depicts the power of love that stays beside someone even in fear and darkness; "Long promise," which sings of a future when they will meet again on stage and laugh together; and "I will live," which shouts the will to survive even in a wasteland-like reality.
The album's tracks also attract attention with the participation of accomplished writers such as MBC announcer and lyricist Kim Soo-ji, Peppertones' Shin Jae-pyeong, and Ahn Ye-eun. Among them, the compositions for "Alive" and "Long promise" are generating more anticipation through collaboration with Creation Music Rights, SM Entertainment's music publishing subsidiary.
These five songs, composed of various genres, not only solidify La Poem's identity as a crossover group but also clearly show their future path beyond genre boundaries. Expectations are growing for what emotions and harmonies the new album, which shows the "present" La Poem faces at the end of the time they have passed, will deliver.
After the release of Alive, La Poem will also meet fans at their signature concert La Poem Symphony on Feb. 7 and 8 in Busan. This is an encore performance of La Poem Symphony, which set Seoul ablaze last November, and features live orchestra performances of all tracks from Alive.
La Poem, meeting fans again with a concert after the new release, will deliver thrilling emotion with their overwhelming harmony.
