Actor Kwon Sang-woo unleashed memories of his unknown days, ties with fellow actors and a delightful wit on the YouTube variety show Zzanbro.
Kwon Sang-woo recalled on the broadcast, "When I was an unknown actor, my manager was the person who also handled Kim Won-joon and Ryu Si-won," and said, "Ryu Si-won did hair and makeup himself. During 'Stairway to Heaven' I did it. Looking back now, it was fresh."
Fellow guest P.O. recalled his early debut and drew laughter. He said, "When Block B debuted I got a plastic surgery estimate. I was confident in my looks," and added, "The company sent it, and they said if you just do a little to the eyes and nose you can be made into Kwon Sang-woo." He went on, "And 20 years later I actually met him playing Kwon Sang-woo's younger brother," describing the special connection.
Also on the broadcast an unexpected "tongue" episode became a hot topic. In the "follow me to the roof" corner, when someone reported, "Kwon Sang-woo's tongue is surprisingly long," Kwon Sang-woo, at Shin Dong-yeob's request, showed his tongue and joked, "It will get 3 million views." Watching this, Shin Dong-yeob provoked laughs by saying, "It's really long. It's like an ox tongue," coining the term "Kwon Sang-woo theory." Kwon Sang-woo quipped, "The thickness itself is like a domed stadium. My tongue was fully captured," and joked, "Please edit it yourself."
The pronunciation debate continued. Kwon Sang-woo said, "'Ddarang is something that comes to ddola' they said. Who would say that," and added, "It was exaggeratedly expressed. I don't think the pronunciation is inaccurate. Sincerity is important." In response P.O. said, "I watched closely and his pronunciation is accurate when he acts. It's different when he sings," and imitated Kwon Sang-woo's short pronunciation to add to the laughter. Kwon Sang-woo then wittily promoted, "If you're curious, come see it in theaters," and the cast admired him, saying, "He's a genius."
