Trot singer Kim Soyu confessed for the first time to the shocking experience of having been the victim of a "random assault."
On the 16th, a video titled "Scary stories my twins tell about my life" was posted on the YouTube channel Annyeong Hasemi. In the video, Kim Soyu cautiously opened up, saying, "There is a shameful and frightening incident I have never been able to talk about until now."
Kim Soyu mentioned being the victim of a random assault, saying, "I was assaulted by someone I didn't know for no reason at all," and recalled the scene, "After practice as I was heading to the subway station, a man suddenly approached, put me in a headlock and kept hitting my face." She said, "It was so sudden that at first I wondered if it was someone I knew," and added, "It was too strong to be a joke, and I was hit for so long that I couldn't even lift my head," shocking everyone.
She continued, "As the hits continued, fear gradually overwhelmed me," and said, "I lifted my head for an instant and saw a large man running away. My hands were shaking, so I immediately called 112," adding, "What was more shocking was that the person committed the same crime against another citizen the next day," which added to the shock.
Furthermore, the assailant was a person suffering from a mental illness. Kim Soyu said of the assailant, "His mother was caring for him, but because of his large build it was difficult to control him," and added, "In reality, it was difficult to receive compensation," recounting the shocking anecdote.
