Group SHINee member and solo artist Taemin lit up the night in Las Vegas, U.S.
Taemin on the 16th (local time) held TAEMIN LIVE [Veil] in Las Vegas at Dolby Live at Park MGM. It carried over the heat of last year's successful Japan arena tour Veil, and from the moment the concert was announced it received explosive interest from local fans.
That day Taemin made a striking entrance suspended from a cross structure and opened the show with Heaven. He then overwhelmed the audience with dark, conceptual stages including the tour title track Veil, Bones, Advice+IDEA, and Shadow.
Afterward, sensual performance stages such as Guess Who and Criminal followed, and songs like Door and Flame Of Love showcased Taemin's delicate vocal ability and fluid performance skills, proving a wide musical spectrum.
In the latter part of the concert he raised the temperature with the signature song MOVE and a rock version reinterpretation of WANT, previewed an upcoming single and drew enthusiastic responses from fans. Raising the atmosphere by sharing behind-the-scenes of the new song, Taemin closed the show with 괴도 (Danger), Press Your Number, and I Think It's Love.
Taemin said he was grateful for the warm welcome and love for his first solo performance in Las Vegas, promising, "I don't think I will forget today and I will definitely come back," and added, "I will show the best stage at Coachella as well, so please look forward to it," raising expectations for his Coachella appearance.
This performance is significant in that Taemin further solidified his position in the North American market. Forbes spotlighted the concert alone and expressed high expectations for Taemin's overwhelming performance. As evidence, about 200,000 simultaneous users tried to access tickets at ticketing time, and it sold out within 10 minutes of tickets opening.
After captivating Las Vegas, Taemin will move on in April to the world's biggest music festival, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. As the only K-pop male solo artist on the lineup, global fans are focused on the performance Taemin will deliver.
