On TV CHOSUN's hyperrealistic documentary entertainment show "Joseon's lover," actor Ryu Si-won will, for the first time on broadcast, reveal his wife, who is 19 years his junior.
In a preview video of "Joseon's lover" to be broadcast on Monday the 19th, Ryu Si-won and his wife—who caused a stir when they made a surprise appearance as wedding guests at Yoon Jungsoo's wedding—appear for the first time. As the footage of them captured as guests at the time recorded as many as 2.83 million views and drew high interest, Ryu Si-won will appear on "Joseon's lover" in earnest and show, without reservation, his daily life with his beautiful wife, who is a math instructor.
Appearing in the VCR with his wife, Ryu Si-won revealed a romantic side, saying he often gives his wife flowers and letters. He recalled, "On our 100th day of dating, I gave her 100 white roses. Because my wife's image is pure and innocent, white roses suited her better than red ones."
He went on, "It was when my mother-in-law didn't know about the relationship; she came to her daughter's house and saw the roses," and shared a heart-stopping moment when the relationship almost got exposed, saying, "Anyone would think the roses were from a man." Ryu Si-won's wife explained the situation at the time, saying she "might have told (her mother) that she had a boyfriend," but hid the identity that the other person was "celebrity Ryu Si-won." She recounted a fresh anecdote from their secret dating days, saying, "I told (my mother) that I didn't take photos with my boyfriend. She said, 'Does that make sense?' but it still passed over well."
The romantic daily life of the "new lover" Ryu Si-won couple, revealed for the first time in six years of marriage, will be released on TV CHOSUN's hyperrealistic documentary entertainment show "Joseon's lover" on Jan. 19 at 10 p.m.
