T-ara alum Soyeon released photos verifying she made the Dubai jjondeuk cookie in Dubai.
On the 18th, Soyeon posted several photos with the caption, "I'm getting tired of making this," and "reverently today."
The released photos show Soyeon in Dubai personally mixing the "Dubai jjondeuk cookie" dough and ingredients to complete the cookies. Recently in Korea, the "Dubai jjondeuk cookie," named after Dubai, has become wildly popular, and the phenomenon has been reported in the news, with people lining up from dawn for open runs to buy them.
However, the Dubai jjondeuk cookie is actually a fusion dessert created in Korea, not a food sold in Dubai or a local traditional confection. It is a Korean-style dessert inspired by Dubai chocolate, which was a global trend in 2024. For this reason, Soyeon staged an ironic scene of living in Dubai while making Dubai jjondeuk cookies herself.
