Lee Joo-been shows an unexpected action in front of Ahn Bo-hyun.
On the 19th, the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Spring Fever (directed by Park Won-guk, written by Kim A-jeong) episode 5 gathers Seon Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-been), Choi I-jun (Cha Seo Won), Seon Han-gyeol (Cho Junyoung) and Choi Se-jin (Lee Jaein) together as they prepare for the school sports day, the biggest festival in Sinsu-eup.
Earlier, Yoon Bom slowly seeped into Seon Jae-gyu, who has a burning heart, pressing the excitement button for viewers at home. But she drew a line and told Seon Jae-gyu, who is also the parent of a student she is responsible for, not to come any closer, and while Seon Jae-gyu tried to resolve it, the Sinsu High School sports day was held. The ending left viewers eager for the next episode as Seon Jae-gyu and Choi I-jun, who became the white team and blue team representatives respectively as the parents of Seon Han-gyeol and Choi Se-jin, confirmed that Yoon Bom's team was the white team and were embarrassed.
Stills from the much-anticipated Sinsu High School sports day to be broadcast today (19th) have been released. Seon Jae-gyu had previously given up participating in the sports day without knowing that Yoon Bom's team had been switched to the white team. When the white team weakened with Seon Jae-gyu absent, Yoon Bom took drastic measures. In desperation, Yoon Bom even kneeled before Seon Jae-gyu, raising questions about whether she can win back his heart.
Meanwhile, Seon Jae-gyu's inner feelings are complicated as he keeps his promise to Seon Han-gyeol to help the blue team win, despite being unable to play. Whether Seon Jae-gyu will reverse his withdrawal and, as Yoon Bom wants, take part in the sports day to put a medal on his companion dog Bomsik's neck, and the internal change in Seon Jae-gyu as he struggles between Yoon Bom and his nephew Seon Han-gyeol, will further heighten the drama's appeal.
Seon Jae-gyu boldly promised his rival and blue team representative Choi I-jun, "If I participate in this sports day, I'll serve in the military one more time! I will call you 'jagiya' for the rest of my life," making it a key point whether Seon Jae-gyu will make Choi I-jun say "jagiya." The relationship between Seon Han-gyeol and Choi Se-jin is also intriguing. With Seon Han-gyeol's attention focused on Choi Se-jin, viewers will be eager to see whether he can see her smiling at the sports day, adding to their fresh, youthful story.
In this regard, the production team said, "Episode 5 will feature a cute and lovable farce set against the backdrop of the sports day. Please look forward to the lively and heartwarming episodes painted in a small seaside town."
Meanwhile, according to FlixPatrol (an OTT service ranking aggregation site), Spring Fever has continued its global success by appearing in the Amazon Prime Video "TV SHOWS" top 10 for two consecutive weeks (as of Jan. 15). It entered the top 10 in a total of 48 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom and several European countries, and ranked No. 1 in four countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand—demonstrating strong interest from viewers around the world.
