Kwon Sang-woo "When I was unknown Ryu Si-won did hair·makeup himself"… P.O. "I got slapped and bled, but it became more real"
Actor Kwon Sang-woo spoke candidly from memories of his unknown days.
On the 19th, the YouTube variety show Zzanbro 'Hyungs, follow me to the rooftop' episode featured Kwon Sang-woo, actress Moon Chae-won, and singer-actor P.O.
That day Kwon Sang-woo recalled his days as an unknown actor and opened by saying, "At that time my manager was the person who also handled Kim Won-jun hyung and Ryu Si-won hyung." He continued, "Ryu Si-won hyung did his own hair and makeup for me," and added, "During 'Stairway to Heaven' I did it myself. Looking back now, it was fresh."
P.O. amused by showing confidence about his appearance early in his debut. He confessed, "When Block B debuted I got an estimate for plastic surgery," and said, "It was sent by the company, and they said if they touched only the eyes and nose they could make me into Kwon Sang-woo." He went on, "And 20 years later I actually met him as the role of Kwon Sang-woo hyung's younger brother," recounting an unusual connection.
Kwon Sang-woo also revealed small everyday details from recent shooting. He said, "My wife was briefly in Korea so we filmed then," and laughed, "I slept in the living room. She told me in advance to sleep in the living room today too." MC Shin Dong-yeob noted Kwon Sang-woo's unexpected charm, saying, "He's really funny in private."
An episode that happened during filming also became a hot topic. Kwon Sang-woo apologized, saying, "There was a scene where someone slaps the cheek in an action scene, and P.O. said he was bleeding. I felt sorry that he was injured." P.O. replied, "But because it was done hard it actually became more comfortable," and said, "The scene became more real," creating a warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, through the broadcast Kwon Sang-woo and P.O. drew viewers' attention by sharing their senior-junior chemistry and honest behind-the-scenes stories.
