Popular idol group BTS is preparing a free concert at Gwanghwamun Square.
On the 19th, a BigHit Music official told OSEN regarding rumors of BTS's free performance at Gwanghwamun Square, "It is currently under discussion, and once the final decision on the venue and schedule is made, official guidance will be provided."
Recently, stories have spread online that BTS will hold performances around major cultural heritage sites in Seoul such as Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Sungnyemun. This is because the agency is reported to have recently applied to the Korea Heritage Service for permission to use and film at locations including not only Gwanghwamun Square but also the areas around Gyeongbokgung Palace and Sungnyemun.
BTS is set to make a comeback on March 20 with their fifth studio album Arirang. Especially since the Korean traditional folk song "Arirang" is the title, fans are anticipating how BTS will express Korean sensibilities together with them.
In addition, BTS is preparing a full-member world tour starting on April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex.
