Group BTS member V shows a new face through a photobook.
V published the photobook "TYPE 非" today (19). It is the second work following "TYPE 1," which was released in 2024. While the previous work captured an unadorned, natural daily life, this time he captured a "nonfixedness" that crosses the boundaries of form and genre.
From the planning stage of this photobook, V personally participated in the overall shooting to densely express his own sensibility. It is composed of a total of 278 pages and 20 chapters that flow like a single continuity. Each chapter's various concepts and directions show aspects of the "artist V" that cannot be defined by a single category. The deep gaze and emotional atmosphere contained in the main poster raise anticipation for the photobook.
An offline exhibition commemorating the photobook publication, "V TYPE 非 : ON-SITE IN SEOUL," will also be held. It is composed of exhibition zones and a media art zone, among others. Visitors can move along the photobook's flow to experience the works visually and three-dimensionally, and they can also see unpublished photos and videos available only on site. The exhibition will be held from Jan. 20 to Feb. 1 at Frieze House Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul. It is meaningful in that it is the first photo exhibition held at this venue.
BTS, which V belongs to, will release its fifth studio album "ARIRANG" on March 20. The album deals with universal emotions of the team's identity, longing, and deep love and contains a total of 14 tracks. From April, they will embark on a large-scale world tour covering North America, Europe, South America and Asia. It begins in Goyang, Korea, on April 9 and April 11–12 and will perform 79 shows in 34 cities. Japan and Middle East dates are expected to be added later, so the tour's scale is likely to expand further.
