The group ENHYPEN demonstrated its strength as a record powerhouse.
According to Hanteo Chart on Jan. 19, ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki)'s seventh mini album THE SIN : VANISH ranked No. 1 on the weekly album chart (tracking period Jan. 12–18). The album sold more than 1.65 million copies on its release day, Jan. 16, reaching the top of the chart with only three days of sales counted.
THE SIN : VANISH previously went straight to No. 1 on the worldwide iTunes albums chart. It topped the iTunes "Top Albums" chart in 10 countries/regions, including Brazil, India and Türkiye, and entered charts in 52 countries/regions in total. It also held the highest position on Line Music's daily "Album Top 100" (Jan. 17).
The title track "Knife" is also rising in popularity. The song jumped 60 places from the previous day to No. 8 on Line Music's daily "Song Top 100" (Jan. 17). It also entered YouTube's "Music Rising" chart in 40 countries/regions (Jan. 18).
THE SIN : VANISH tells the story of lovers who break taboos and flee for love in a world where humans and vampires coexist. The title track "Knife" expresses the confidence to stand up and fight in the face of any threat. Its sharp synth sounds and the chorus "It's a Knife" created an addictive hook that captured the hearts of global listeners.
A variety of events were prepared to deepen immersion in the album's vampire narrative. ENHYPEN is partnering with the Korean Red Cross to run a blood donation campaign. Until Jan. 25, those who complete a blood donation at one of three Blood Donation Centers (Sinchon Center, Gangnam Station Center, Seongsu Center) or at blood donation buses across Seoul will receive a special souvenir prepared by ENHYPEN.
ENHYPEN will also hold the ENHYPEN 'THE SIN : VANISH' pop-up store from Jan. 21 to 27 on the first basement floor of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam. The pop-up will showcase physical albums and official merchandise and will be designed to let visitors experience the album's concept in a multidimensional way.
