Band Dragon Pony (Dragon Pony) offered Japanese fans a special musical experience.
Dragon Pony (An Taegyu, Pyeon Seonghyeon, Kwon Sehyuk, Go Ganghun) held the collaboration show ''youTopia vol.2 "Dragon Pony X KAMI WA SAIKORO WO FURANAI"' in TOKYO' (hereafter "youTopia") at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Tokyo on the 16th and met local fans.
"youTopia" is a collaboration show organized by Japanese ticket platform and event producer Pia with the theme of an ideal world. Pia directly selected Korean band Dragon Pony and Japanese band Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai to perform a collaborative show in Tokyo following Seoul, allowing them to deeply connect with the audience. In particular, Dragon Pony communicated more warmly with local fans in fluent Japanese at the Tokyo show, increasing audience immersion.
That day, Dragon Pony connected passionately with the audience with a setlist that captured the intense energy of imperfect youth. Dragon Pony transferred their bold yet passionate, refreshing yet lyrical musical energy onto the stage without restraint, fully demonstrating the free-spirited nature of a rock band.
Dragon Pony showcased overwhelming stage presence by selecting many songs, including key tracks from their first EP 'POP UP' and second EP 'Not Out', as well as unreleased songs 'ROCK STAR' and 'Summerless Dream'. Amid a parade of original songs, Dragon Pony's energetic band performance continued nonstop.
The collaborative stage showcasing musical synergy between the two bands was by far the highlight. Dragon Pony sang Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai's signature song 'キラキラ (Kirakira)' together with vocalist Yanagita Shusaku, delivering a fresh charm. Yanagita Shusaku also added meaning by singing Dragon Pony's 'On Air' in Korean. Yanagita Shusaku named 'On Air' as his favorite Dragon Pony song and selected it as an encore.
After successfully wrapping up the collaboration show, Dragon Pony said, "Performing from Seoul to Tokyo feels like we created truly precious memories. We learned a lot from our seniors and gained the courage to grow further," and added, "Seeing how music brings people together was deeply moving, and through this show we wanted to give fans even better music. We thank Poongyong (fandom name) and everyone who enjoyed the show with us."
Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai also said, "Not only the music but every exchange we had with Dragon Pony on and offstage was a great stimulus. Even with different cultures and environments, we felt again that people can be connected through music. This collaboration was very meaningful and left a strong impression on us. We hope to continue growing together and create stages together again in the future," offering a warm sentiment.
Dragon Pony reinforced their global influence as the "top rookie of the K-band scene" through the collaboration show 'youTopia', which followed their 2025 performances at Germany's 'K-INDIE ON Festival' and Vietnam's 'Korea Spotlight 2025', and was held sequentially in Korea and Japan. Attention is focused on Dragon Pony's activities this year as the band continues to drive the band scene's popularity at home and abroad with outstanding band performances.
