'Black Rubber Shoes' voice actress Sun Eun-hye died at the age of 40.
The late Sun Eun-hye passed away on the 17th. Her death was announced by fellow voice actress Jung Sung-hoon on his social media, and the exact cause of death has not been released.
She was born in 1985, joined the KBS Voice Actors' Association as part of its 36th class in 2011, and worked as a freelancer from 2013 to 2024. 'Black Rubber Shoes 4', 'How to Train Your Dragon', 'Lego Elves', 'Little Princess Sofia', 'Future Warrior Thea', 'The Garden of Words', 'Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream', and 'Hunter x Hunter: The Movie', among others, featured her work.
Survived by her husband, Choi Jae-ho, chairman of the Korea Voice Performance Association, and a son. She had been a student of her husband Choi Jae-ho when she was an aspiring voice actor, and the two later married.
After the obituary was reported, condolences from fellow voice actors continued. Senior Chae Ui-jin mourned, "Beautiful junior Eun-hye..rest in peace," and Nam Do-hyung wrote, "I will not forget the time we spent together. I offer my deepest condolences." Junior Kim Ga-ryeong also posted, "I pray for Sun Eun-hye senior's peace."
