Kim Junsu revealed the house he currently lives in and recalled his childhood living conditions together
On the 18th episode of SBS My Little Old Boy, Kim Junsu appeared as a guest.
On that day, Shin Dong-yeob said, "It seems the reason you came to value a home is related to the living environment when you were young."
Kim Junsu said, "Looking back, I realized that life at the time was much harder than I thought," and said, "Like the semi-basement house in the movie "Parasite," my family also lived in a semi-basement." He added, "But it wasn't a place structured like the house in the movie; it was really a one-room place. There was no bathroom."
He said, "Because there was no bathroom, we had to urinate in the sink or lay down newspaper, and the kitchen was outside rather than inside the room," and added, "Now when I think about it, it was more like a storage space than a house." He then said, "From that time I had the goal of 'someday living in a proper house.'"
That experience later influenced the direction of his life. Kim Junsu said, "Even after debut I lived in dorms for a long time, so I wanted to provide a home for my parents before getting one for myself," and said, "So the first thing I did was give my parents a house."
The mother panelists who heard this reacted warmly, saying, "It's not an easy decision; that's really admirable," and "He's a devoted son." Kim Junsu's story conveyed that his obsession with houses was not a mere preference but a goal born from life memories.<
