The first episode of tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Undercover Miss Hong' (directed by Park Sun-ho, written by Moon Hyun-kyung), which aired on the 17th, Park Shinhye, who plays elite securities supervisor 'Hong Geum-bo', delivered a solid performance throughout the drama, effortlessly handling everything from action to comedy, kick-starting the buildup to an unprecedented retro office comedy.
Making her first appearance as the Yeouido witch 'Hong Geum-bo', who lacks camaraderie and loyalty but excels at her work, Park Shinhye immediately drew viewers into the screen with her characteristic screen-commanding presence. With the help of her younger sister Hong Jang-mi (played by Shin Yu-na), Geum-bo disguised herself as a twenty-year-old, discovered an error in the company's written entrance exam questions and passed, and succeeded in entering dorm room 301 with Kang Myung-hwi's secretary Go Bok-hee (played by Ha Yoon-Kyung) to find the internal whistleblower 'Yeppe'.
Park Shinhye perfectly portrayed the tough workaholic Geum-bo in the first half and the MZ-era Hong Jang-mi she transforms into in the second half, and she showcased a delightful give-and-take with different surrounding characters, raising expectations for another round of Park Shinhye magic.
