Actor Jennifer Garner recently made candid remarks exposing her ex-husband, actor Ben Affleck's obsession.
On the 16th (local time), according to U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six, Jennifer Garner asked the audience at an event held at a bookstore that day, "Do you do this too? Do you listen to a song on repeat?"
Jennifer Garner said, "There is one thing I want to tell you. I got through all of this. I survived."
She recalled cheering him on when Ben Affleck was filming The Town in 2009. Jennifer Garner said, "Ben Affleck listens to a song on repeat."
She said, "While my husband was filming The Town, I lived in a rented house in Gambridge, Massachusetts, with a 3-month-old baby and a 3-year-old child," and added, "My husband listened to Beyoncé's "Halo" and I was breastfeeding the baby."
Affleck directed, co-wrote and starred in the crime thriller, which was released in 2010; the film premiered that year at the Venice Film Festival, was nominated for a Producers Guild of America award and won two categories at the National Society of Film Critics.
Author Laura Dave attended the event with Garner and Rita Wilson and expressed sympathy. Dave said, "Aside from Ben, I haven't seen anyone else do that; as far as I know, only screenwriter Tom Stoppard does it," acknowledging she has the same habit. She added, "Hearing that, I thought, 'Ah, I'm among great people too.' "
Garner and Affleck married in 2005 and divorced in 2015; they have three children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have also maintained a close relationship regarding co-parenting their children.
Affleck spent Thanksgiving in November at Garner's home in Brentwood, California, with the children, and the two later attended a play at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre with Seraphina the following month. But on the same day, Affleck was also seen shopping and having lunch with Jennifer Lopez and Samuel.
An insider said, "Ben and Jen have been apart for quite some time, but Ben still feels comfortable when he is with Jen."
Earlier this month, Jennifer Garner said the hardest part of her divorce from Ben Affleck was "the family falling apart itself. Losing a true partnership and friendship was the hardest part." But she said it became easier over time to imagine a peaceful co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband.
She said, "Time is an opportunity for healing. Time gives an opportunity to forgive, move forward and become friends in a new way."
