KBS2 'Boss, your ears are donkey ears' features all of Um Ji-in the boss's family appearing together.
KBS 2TV 'Boss, your ears are donkey ears' (directed by Choi Seung-hee, hereafter 'Sadanggwi') is a program of voluntary perspective-taking and self-reflection by Korea's bosses to create workplaces that make people want to work. The last episode recorded a peak rating of 6.6% and continues the remarkable record of ranking first in its time slot for 188 consecutive weeks. (Nielsen Korea)
In today's (18th) broadcast of 'Sadanggwi', announcer Um Ji-in appears with her husband Professor Koo Ja-seung, their 10-year-old daughter Koo Bon-a and their 8-year-old son Koo Bon-joon, as the whole family turns out. That is because Professor Koo Ja-seung is appearing on Um Ji-in's 'Morning Yard' special 'Men who married well'. Professor Koo Ja-seung previously drew attention for his warm looks and intellectual charm during his first appearance on 'Sadanggwi'. Um Ji-in said, "I was really nervous. This is the first time I've been so absent-minded on air," and appeared more nervous than Professor Koo Ja-seung, who is making his first appearance on 'Morning Yard'.
Meanwhile, 10-year-old daughter Koo Bon-a shows off powerful tween energy that lifts and sets down announcer Kim Jin-woong, bringing laughter. Kim Jin-woong, who took on the role of children's escort, heads to the KBS cafeteria with the calm and demure Koo Bon-a and the still-young siblings Koo Bon-seung. They go to eat at the tasty cafeteria and to show the children the broadcasting facilities. As soon as they arrive at the cafeteria, Koo Bon-a rather expertly guides Kim Jin-woong, saying, "At this time they sell lunch boxes, and later they sell ramen," "You put the meal ticket in here," and "Please come this way," leaving Kim Jin-woong embarrassed. Koo Bon-a then reassures Kim Jin-woong, saying, "I graduated from the KBS daycare, so I've eaten a lot," revealing that she had attended the KBS daycare before Kim Jin-woong joined the company and was his senior at KBS. Koo Bon-a nonchalantly added, "There were days I ate two meals here in one day. The KBS cafeteria was home-cooked food to me," prompting even Kim Sook to burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, during the broadcast, Professor Koo Ja-seung confesses his love to announcer Um Ji-in, making her cheeks turn red. Professor Koo Ja-seung said, "I'm sorry I didn't watch Um Ji-in as the children were growing up," and added, "Our family always supports my wife. I really love you," delivering a love confession that moved viewers. In response, Jun Hyun-moo said, "Um Ji-in is an incredibly lucky wife," expressing envy of the loving couple.
You can see Um Ji-in, incredibly lucky to have witty siblings and a loving husband, on the 'Sadanggwi' main broadcast.
