In the Imjjang TV video "Food and drinking" released on the 18th, Im Seong-geun explained why he has recently refrained from alcohol, saying, "It's been about five to six years since I practically quit drinking." Looking back on his past, he said, "I liked drinking and caused trouble," and "I drove under the influence about three times over a period of 10 years."
Im Seong-geun said of the incident, "I was drinking and fell asleep in the car and was caught by the police," and explained, "Later I found out the engine should have been turned off." When the production staff said, "You admit fault," he replied, "A wrong is a wrong," and said, "My license was revoked through criminal punishment, and I later reobtained it."
He added, "I didn't want to hide it. It's right to apologize to my subscribers," bowing his head. Mentioning the burden of sudden popularity, he added, "Please forgive me generously. I will be careful so it won't be a problem in the future."
