On the 16th, a video titled "The boyfriend who went off the radar has returned" was posted on the YouTube channel "Just Lee Mi-joo."
In the released video, Lee Mi-joo said, "I wanted to act but had no opportunity. I wanted to test whether I had potential, so I persuaded the production team to let me," explaining why she began taking acting lessons.
As soon as Lee Mi-joo met the acting coach, she showed enthusiasm, saying, "I want to try playing a murderer, and I want to try a role where I get shot by an arrow and die in a historical drama." The coach said, "Your face is too high-end for that," and "You have an actor's face," and Lee Mi-joo responded with a pleased reaction, saying, "They say that because I got older."
When formal practice began, Lee Mi-joo lightened the mood with exaggerated gestures and ad-libs, and the coach firmly put a stop to it, saying, "Don't do comedy, be serious." Later, continuing the acting based on a scene from the drama "Surely Tomorrow," Lee Mi-joo seemed to struggle a bit with understanding the situation but increasingly immersed herself in emotional expression.
Especially while performing an improvised setup as "a woman hurt by a boyfriend who went off the radar," Lee Mi-joo finally cried, and, seeming surprised at herself, reacted embarrassedly, "Why am I crying? I must be crazy." In a later interview she explained why the emotion rose: "I tried to do well, but when the boyfriend changed his attitude, it made me feel heartbroken."
The coach who watched this said, "I thought she was a lighthearted person from variety shows, but it seems she has a lot hidden inside. It's like a diamond mine," highly praising Lee Mi-joo's acting potential. Lee Mi-joo added with her characteristic frankness, "Acting is more fun than I thought," while also saying, "Give me some time to interpret the script. I need a few hours," adding to the laughter.
