The band QWER has been chosen as the vocalist for the opening theme of the Japanese anime "Togurou-ō".
According to their agency Tamago Production, QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyun) sang the opening theme "SHOW DOWN" for the Japanese anime "Togurou-ō," which will air in July on Fuji TV, Kansai TV and others.
The original webtoon "Togurou-ō" of the anime is a fantasy blockbuster depicting the appearance of artifacts that shake the world and the breathtaking adventures of tomb raiders vying to claim them. It received high praise for thrillingly portraying the opening of a great reversal in which the genius tomb raider Seo Jooheon uses the power of artifacts to conquer the world and becomes the true "tomb king," and for opening a new horizon for K-fantasy webtoons.
"Togurou-ō" is also a highly anticipated work for animation by Redice Studio following the webtoon "Solo Leveling." As of Aug. 2025, "Togurou-ō" has reached 200 million cumulative views domestically and has also gained great popularity overseas, including in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia and English-speaking regions.
In particular, "SHOW DOWN" is QWER's first anime OST performance since debut and is a Japanese-language vocal track (excluding previously released domestic songs). On the 16th, a portion of the "SHOW DOWN" audio was first released through the "Togurou-ō" PV video, and QWER's signature upbeat band sound combined with refreshing vocals raised expectations for the full song.
QWER said, "We are honored to perform the opening theme for 'Togurou-ō.' As the first OST to be released under the name QWER, all the members worked carefully and treasured every detail." They added, "If you know the story of 'Togurou-ō,' the lyrics will feel even more interesting. Please give a lot of love to QWER along with 'SHOW DOWN.'"
Meanwhile, QWER is currently successfully carrying out their debut first world tour "2025 QWER 1ST WORLD TOUR 'ROCKATION'" touring eight Asian cities. Prior to this, QWER ignited eight cities in the Americas starting from Seoul, cementing their global presence.
