The group ENHYPEN's new album sold more than 1.65 million copies on its first day of release alone, signaling a green light for the team's fourth "double million-seller."
On the 17th, according to music sales tracking site Hanteo Chart, ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghun, Sunoo, Niki)'s mini album 7th "THE SIN : VANISH" recorded sales of 1,652,560 copies the previous day and shot to No. 1 on the daily chart.
The songs are also extremely popular. The title track "Knife" held the top spot on Bugs' real-time chart on the day of its release, and the six songs included on the album swept ranks 1 through 6, achieving the so-called chart "lineup." The narration and skit (SKIT·dramatic scenario) tracks also charted, showcasing the true nature of a concept album whose strength is storytelling.
ENHYPEN's presence also shone on global charts. "THE SIN : VANISH" took No. 1 on iTunes' "Top Albums" in 10 countries/regions including Brazil, India and Türkiye, and entered the chart rankings in a total of 52 countries/regions. Based on this popularity, "THE SIN : VANISH" also topped the "Worldwide iTunes Albums" chart.
"Knife" placed No. 1 on iTunes' "Top Songs" chart in 11 countries/regions including Argentina, Indonesia and the Philippines. On Japan's music platform Line Music it settled in the top tier of the real-time "Top 100 songs," and it ranked on YouTube's trending music in 36 countries/regions including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
Views for the "Knife" music video also soared rapidly. The music video, which stimulated the worldwide ENGENE fandom's dopamine with ENHYPEN boldly enjoying even crises, surpassed 10 million views on YouTube 19 hours after its release.
On the 16th ENHYPEN premiered the new song stage for the first time at a fan showcase commemorating the release of "THE SIN : VANISH" and on KBS2's "MUSIC BANK." The passionate energy of the "Knife" performance drew particular attention. ENHYPEN, who began the stage exuding a bleak atmosphere, overwhelmed viewers by expressing the song's rough energy through their distinctive powerful lines of dance. Hand movements depicting sharp blades created taut tension and conveyed the song's message directly.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will appear on MBC's "Show! Music Core," airing this afternoon (the 17th), to perform the new song stage. Member Sunoo is expected to serve as a special MC on that broadcast.
