Hollywood actress Sarah Foster (44) drew attention by revealing an anecdote about a blind date with George Clooney (64).
According to U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six, Sarah Foster recalled on the podcast "The World's First Podcast," released on the 16th (local time), "I once dated George Clooney arranged by Cindy Crawford and her husband Randy Gerber."
Foster described the occasion as "to be honest, it was a very depressing setting. It was a total 'hard no,'" adding candidly, "At the time my first thought was, 'wow, he's way too old.'" She continued, "There were four of us sitting there and I felt like 'I'm going to die here.' It was right after my previous relationship ended, so I felt even sadder."
She said she was somewhat "upset" with the Crawford couple who set up the blind date, asking, "Why are you connecting me with someone this old?" Foster said, "I still don't understand a 19-year-old dating someone in their 40s. Of course it depends on the case, but back then it really felt strange."
She added that Clooney also did not seem to have high expectations for the meeting. Foster said, "I don't think George was the one who first asked to be introduced to me," and laughed, "Because I started crying while talking about my ex-boyfriend at the date, he probably thought, 'This person is not in a good state.'"
Meanwhile, Foster later maintained a long-term common-law relationship with former tennis player Tommy Haas and had two daughters, but they split in 2024. George Clooney married human rights lawyer Amal Clooney in 2014 and has twins.
