Boy group WHIB will make a comeback on the 29th with a new title track, "ROCK THE NATION."
WHIB (Kim Jun-min, Ha Seung, Jin-beom, Yoo Geon, Lee Jeong, Jae-ha, Onejoon) announced the comeback date of the 29th by releasing a scheduler video and tracklist image for their first mini album "ROCK THE NATION" on their official SNS and YouTube channel at 12 a.m. on the 16th and 17th.
The scheduler video released first evokes a grand atmosphere, with the team name WHIB and the album title "ROCK THE NATION" rendered as blue and red neon signs on a massive building. A mysterious aircraft drifts through the sky, creating an expansive SF mood that raises curiosity about WHIB's unique worldview.
According to the scheduler, WHIB began preorders for the physical edition of the mini album on various online retailers starting on the 16th. Beginning with the tracklist on the 17th, they will continue to raise excitement for the comeback by revealing two types of individual and group concept photos, two music video teasers, and a Highlight medley on consecutive days.
In particular, the new title track unveiled by the tracklist is titled the same as the album, "ROCK THE NATION," signaling the group's intense identity and narrative. WHIB is determined to shake up the K-pop scene with their energetic performances and all-around abilities that encompass solid vocals and rap. In addition, Wutan, who has worked on songs for prominent K-pop artists such as NCT 127, NMIXX, and The Boyz, wrote the lyrics for the song, further enhancing its completeness, along with WHIB's previous single 4 title track "Still typing.." (subtitle: blank).
Also, on the track "WHO'S THE NEXT," members Ha Seung and Kim Jun-min participated in composition; on "DDANG," Ha Seung wrote the lyrics; and on "NO SHINE," Lee Jeong, Kim Jun-min, and Ha Seung participated in both lyrics and composition, delivering a distinct musical color. In addition, a total of five songs, including "ELEVATE," are included on this album.
The tracklist image features WHIB's back as they race unhesitatingly toward dazzling light, adding to anticipation for the new album's concept and direction. Making their first comeback activities as a full seven-member group, WHIB plans to showcase once again an irreplaceable team color and strengthened teamwork befitting a "5th-generation cheat key" with this first mini album.
WHIB's first mini album "ROCK THE NATION" will be released at 6 p.m. on the 29th on various online music sites.
