Actor Ko Kyung-pyo drew attention by revealing his "3-day fast" diet secret.
On the 16th, Hyeri's YouTube channel Hyel's club posted a video titled "A flood of suppressed variety skills.. the filming site is a total chaosjaves | Hyel's club ep68 Park Shinhye Ko Kyung-pyo."
On that day's broadcast, Park Shinhye and Ko Kyung-pyo, who appear together in the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama Undercover Miss Hong, appeared as guests.
When the diet topic came up, Ko Kyung-pyo surprised everyone by declaring, "I already had an InBody test, but I'm going to fast starting tomorrow." Hyeri immediately gave him a skeptical look, saying, "Don't lie," and Park Shinhye backed him up, saying, "I fasted a lot even while filming." Ko Kyung-pyo protested, "I'm a fasting evangelist," which drew laughter.
Hyeri explained why she didn't believe Ko Kyung-pyo's fasting declaration, saying, "Then when we meet a few months later, we say, 'You eat so much.' And when we meet a few months later, we say, 'You really eat a lot.'" Ko Kyung-pyo retorted, "It's not intermittent fasting; when I do it I stop completely. Once a month, or three days like that, I stop."
He went on to explain the effects of fasting, saying, "They call it autophagy, where you digest yourself and your body feels completely reset," and, "It's really so good when you do it. After two days it's very hard, but your mind becomes sharply awake." Having experienced a 54-hour fast, he added, "This time I'm going to challenge a 72-hour, 3-day fast to welcome the new year."
However, Ko Kyung-pyo warned viewers against imitating him, saying, "I'm doing this with my own body, so don't follow me. It's only for me."
Meanwhile, when told that his character in the drama is so gaunt that he earned the nickname "unlucky Kyung-pyo," Ko Kyung-pyo joked, "I haven't lost as much weight as expected," and Park Shinhye and Hyeri comforted him, saying, "You've already lost enough," adding to the laughter.
