Actor Joo Woo-jae shared his views on the Dubai jjondeuk cookie trend.
On the 16th, a video titled "I came to end the Dubai jjondeuk cookie trend | Dubai jjondeuk cookie ASMR, making Dubai jjondeuk cookie, Dubai chocolate dessert mukbang" was posted on the YouTube channel "Today's Joo Woo-jae."
In the released video, Joo Woo-jae said, "Looking at the things in front of me today, I saw all kinds of fuss, but this seems to be almost the biggest ever," and spent time experiencing each "Dubai chewy cookie" dessert.
Joo Woo-jae said, "So Dubai jjondeuk cookie. I checked the prices, and depending on the store they're sold out at the 5,000-won range, 6,000-won range, and 8,000-won range. I saw 14,900 won. Per piece. But people still have some sense, that one wasn't sold out. The rest were all sold out," expressing surprise at the high prices.
He continued, "To be honest, I could throw this away without eating it. I'm not even curious. But the production team said it's hot, hot. Fuss is fuss, but content is content, so I'll try it," and added, "I will eat it in the least tasty way possible to end the trend today," before starting the mukbang.
After tasting several desserts, Joo Woo-jae said, "In my view, 5,900 won. When ordering other desserts, don't you only look at this one? So I hadn't compared, but seeing it today, up to the 5,000-won range seems acceptable. Once it hits the 6,000-won range, the value for money drops. It's a bit hard to accept," and expressed his opinion.
However, after making the Dubai jjondeuk cookie himself, he added, "Now it's 6,000 won. For this level of effort, it's better to order it. Just order up to 5,900 won."
