Group VIXX member Hyuk (Han Sang-hyuk) has been discharged.
Han Sang-hyuk, who began alternative service as a social service worker in 2024, faithfully fulfilled his military duty for about 1 year and 9 months and returned to his global fans on this day.
Through his agency Companion Company, Han Sang-hyuk said, "I spent each day doing my best, thinking of the promise to fans that I would return healthy in body and mind. Through new experiences, I was able to reflect on myself and it became an opportunity to grow. I will come to you with various activities, so please look forward to them, and I sincerely thank you for always supporting me while I was away."
Han Sang-hyuk is scheduled to meet fans through a discharge commemorative live broadcast on the 20th. As it will be his first opportunity to communicate with fans since his military service, it is drawing intense interest from global fans.
On Feb. 21 and 22, VIXX will perform as a full group at the VIXX fan concert Case No. VIXX. It will be the group's first full-set stage in seven years since 2019, and it is expected to mark the beginning of Hyuk's full-fledged return to activities after his discharge.
Han Sang-hyuk debuted as a VIXX member in 2012 and has received great love from global fans for his distinctive concepts and performances. Beginning with the 2016 film "You Must Catch Me" ("Jabaya Sanda"), he has been active as an actor in drama, theater, film and musical productions, solidifying his position as an all-rounder.
