On the same day, Kim Sumi also posted on social media, "Because this is a personal matter, I share it with a cautious heart," and said, "After long and sufficient conversations last year, we decided to end our relationship as a married couple as a choice that respects each other's lives." She said, "We will continue to carry out our responsibilities and roles as parents together without change," once again emphasizing her commitment to co-parenting.
The two, who divorced last year, coincidentally took a trip together to mark their 13th wedding anniversary last year.
In June last year, Kim Sumi posted on her social media, "Our Kyoto trip for our flour party-like 13th wedding anniversary, I was happyyy."
The shared photos contained images of Kim Sumi and Gaeko enjoying themselves around various travel spots.
